AGRIgate is a first of its kind partnership between a progressive NGO and a premier Incubator. The increase in farmer incomes is a complex issue; an ecosystem of innovative solutions working in tandem is likely to expedite the process of economic growth. AGRIgate attempts to create a start-up ecosystem through rigorous assessments to support farmers.
Atal Incubation Center at RMP will support the winners through mentoring and advisory over the next six months. Global Parli in parallel will provide farmer access and test ground as required by startups. Both these interventions are unique to this challenge and are aimed at commencing commercial operations as early as possible.
The winners will receive the cash award but this challenge is unique in its commitment to provide support and guidance till the commercial operations begin. The long-term commitment of AIC RMP and Global Parli in making your solution commercially viable should be looked at as a larger gain. They will have VCs and Impact Investors guiding winning startups during the market testing and launch phase. The financial support cannot be however committed.

Eligibility Criteria
• Market ready Start-up or existing market operator willing to buy produce from the farmers directly e.g. e-market place, intermediary, exporter, food processing unit, B2B supplier etc.
• Market ready Start-up or existing market operator focused on capacity building through innovations for the small and marginal farmers e.g. Crop Insurance, Micro credit, AI/ Tech/ RF/ Barcodes/ Blockchain solution provider, waste reduction, water management, crop protection, warehousing, logistics etc.
Evaluation Criteria
• Scalability – ready to expand operations to newer geographies along with Global Parli. An organization capable of scaling up rapidly.
• Sustainability – The solutions focused on small and marginal farmers. Availability of efficient distribution and support channels. Customer orientation.
• Commercial viability – Overall value proposition, the viability of usage by small and marginal farmers.
