Accelerating Trade Grant Program is now open for applications to provide businesses with funding on a co contribution basis to support activities that will lead to new trade opportunities.
Funding Information
2 tiers of grants are available, based on the applicant’s annual sales turnover:
- Tier 1 – up to $10,000, turnover of between $150,000 and $20 million
- Tier 2 – up to $20,000, turnover of between $300,000 and $20 million.
Eligible activities may include:
- market research and business-matching services
- promotional activities and materials
- in-bound buyer visits to Tasmania
- travel to an off-island market
- on-ground expenditure.
Eligibility Criteria
To be eligible, you must:
- have an Australian business number (ABN) and be registered for goods and services tax (GST)
- be producing, transforming or value-adding to products and/or services in Tasmania and be dispatching them from Tasmania
- demonstrate the necessary capabilities, resources and capacity to undertake the trade development activity
- have an annual sales turnover greater than $150,000 and less than $20 million in at least one of the last 2 financial years to be eligible as a Tier 1 applicant
- have an annual sales turnover greater than $300,000 and less than $20 million in at least one of the last 2 financial years to be eligible as a Tier 2 applicant
- be running a financially viable business.
