This is a grant provided by the Government to Richmondshire District Council to support businesses that have had to close or are severely affected by national Covid-19 restrictions from 1 April 2021 onwards.
The scheme will provide support for businesses that are severely financially affected by the restrictions, have fixed, unavoidable business costs, are starting back up AND are not eligible for a grant under: Local Restrictions Support Grant (Restart)
Funding Information
Businesses will receive different amounts of the grant depending on the size of business and when they are able to reopen:
• Step 1: businesses that came back into operation on 12 April 2021 will be eligible for the Recovery Step 1 grant
• Step 2: businesses who do not come back into operation until 17 May 2021 will be eligible for the Recovery Step 2 grant
• Step 3: businesses who do not come back into operation until 21 June 2021 will be eligible for the Recovery Step 3 grant
Grants will be awarded based on the Government's steps out of lockdown and not the current anticipated dates.
Business Type
A market trader or other eligible business who don't have rateable premises assessed by the Valuation Office agency as of 1 April 2021.
• Recovery Step 1 grant: £500
• Recovery Step 2 grant: £1,750
• Recovery Step 3 grant:£3,000
The business occupies a hereditament with a rateable value in the local rating listing on 1 April 2021 of less than £15,000, OR the business is defined as a micro business.
• Recovery Step 1 grant: £667
• Recovery Step 2 grant: £2,334
• Recovery Step 3 grant: £4,002
The business occupies a hereditament with a rateable value in the local rating listing on 1 April 2021 of above £15,000 but below £51,000, OR the business is defined as a small business.
• Recovery Step 1 grant: £1,000
• Recovery Step 2 grant: £3,500
• Recovery Step 3 grant: £6,000
The business occupies a hereditament with a rateable value in the local rating listing on 1 April 2021 of £51,000 or above, OR the business is defined as a large business.
• Recovery Step 1 grant: £1,500
• Recovery Step 2 grant: £5,250
• Recovery Step 3 grant: £9,000
