Apply for Deeptech Accelerator Programme

In partnership with Enterprise Singapore and the Singapore Economic Development Board under the Global Innovation Alliance, IoT Tribe runs the biannual Deeptech Accelerator programme to develop startups with interest in expanding into and across Asia, using Singapore as a base to access the regional market.

In partnership with Enterprise Singapore and the Singapore Economic Development Board under the Global Innovation Alliance, IoT Tribe runs the biannual Deeptech Accelerator programme to develop startups with interest in expanding into and across Asia, using Singapore as a base to access the regional market.

Startups selected to join the programme will receive support in the development of their Proof of Value, and gain exposure to our tech ecosystem in Singapore and across Asia, to help prepare them for market expansion.

The programme is equity-free and no fees are required to join.

What the Programme will Provide
10 to 12 startups are selected to participate in each cohort of the Deeptech Accelerator programme, and each will be developed to their full potential through two intensive months of capacity-building workshops.

Experienced business developers and coaches from team will guide you every step of the way, getting you acquainted with the know-hows to grow your company, fundraise and secure investments, among others. They will also introduce you to ecosystem network of experts across a wide range of tech verticals, accelerating your business development in Singapore and across Asia.

Currently conducted in a hybrid format, selected startups can expect to participate in a series of online capacity building activities to buff up their business growth and go-to-market strategy for the Asian markets, their product and technology as well as marketing, business development, and more. This is followed by a 4-week soft landing in Singapore to establish and develop their regional presence. Networking sessions and a demo day – the IoT Tribe Tech Games – will be held to maximise your opportunities to meet with corporates, investors, clients and partners from the region.

• PHASE #1: Virtual Capacity Building – Weeks 1 to 8
o Held virtually, selected best-in-class startups will go through a series of capacity building workshops and activities to refine their business strategy, product solutions, as well as their go-to-market and market expansion strategy for the Asian market.
• PHASE #2: Soft Landing in Singapore – Weeks 9 to 12
o Startup representatives will either participate virtually in one-to-one meetings with prospective clients over the four-week period, or do so in-person in Singapore with the IoT Tribe Singapore team onsite, subject to travel and safety advisories. The team members.
• PHASE #3: Anchoring Your Impact – 6 Months
o Startups will continue on as IoT Tribe alumni upon graduation from the programme and receive follow-on support from the team. Alumni startups will also be invited to stay active within our networks and remain participative through our events.

The third cohort to embark on IoT Tribe’s Deeptech Accelerator programme will encompass startups with disruptive technologies that entail one or more of the following focuses:
• Building a Net Zero Economy
o Advance decarbonisation goals with us through disruptive adoption of smart, sustainability technologies.
o Relevant Technologies: Building OS, Energy & Production Efficiency, Low-Emissions Cooling, Renewable Energy, EV
• Digital Connectivity & Resiliency
o Develop next-gen technologies to bolster digital connectivity and cybersecurity, powering cities and communities securely.
o Relevant Technologies: 5G Solutions, Cybersecurity, Next-Gen Cloud, Edge Computing, Blockchain, Digital Twins
• Smarter Cities & Industrial Operations
o Supercharge the adoption of disruptive key enabling technologies to support smarter operations and supply chain optimisations.
o Relevant Technologies: Robotics, Next-Gen Automations, AR/VR, Operational Efficiency, Artificial IOT (AIOT)

Eligibility Criteria
• Ambition and Ability to Scale: Applicants should ideally be post-revenue or have received some form of funding, preferably pre-seed or later in stage. They will also be assessed during the screening process for their eagerness to expand into the Singapore and Southeast Asian markets.
• Team Synergies: Behind every great product or solution lies a great team – to be eligible, startups should be managed by two or more founding members. They will also be evaluated holistically based on their team structure, technology, business and product models.
• Market-Ready Technologies: Startups from all around the world and work with deep technologies are welcome to apply, although those with a technology readiness level (TRL) of 7 to 9 and possess some form of domestic market traction will receive higher priority during the selection process.
• Commitment to Participation: Representatives of accepted startups will be required to commit fully for the entire duration of the programme, and should be available for relocation to Singapore for the soft landing phase.
