Applications for round two of the Manningham Business Grants Program are now open.
The Manningham Business Grants Program has been developed to assist businesses to make improvements and acquire new skills to be competitive in a COVID-19 online environment. The objectives of the Manningham Business Grants Program are to support:
• social and economic sustainability
• businesses to grow and prosper
• local procurement and facilitating connections
• creating business and employment opportunities
• industry development
These grants will also offer support to new and existing businesses to discover opportunities in the changed environment. Businesses can apply for one grant stream only and applications will be scored against a matrix that will determine successful applicants.
Funding Information
Two grant categories are available:
• Digital Business Support Grant – amounts of up to $2,000 are available to support small business with costs associated with moving online
• Business Coaching and Development Grant – amounts of up to $2,000 are available to encourage business growth and resilience through coaching, training and development.
Eligible projects must be completed between 1 July 2021 and 20 December 2021.
Eligibility Criteria
To be eligible to receive a Manningham Business Grant, applicants must:
• Currently operate a business out of a premises owned or leased within Manningham OR is a new businesses committed to operate from a commercial or residential property within Manningham (evidence may be required).
• Hold a valid Australian Business Number (ABN)
• Employ 20 or fewer staff
• Have all appropriate insurances, licences and permits to undertake the activity funded by this project.
• Meets all requirements of the Fair Work Australia Act and OH&S Act 2004.
• Demonstrate market readiness for a new product/service.
• Not be subject to any legal impediment, including bankruptcy or liquidation.
• Agree to be listed as a business grant recipient on the Manningham Council and Manningham Business websites with the potential to be promoted on social media (prior approval will be sought).
• Can demonstrate how this grant will help support the business in response to the impact of COVID-19.
