The City of Casey has announced the Business Awards 2021 with a brand-new format to recognise and celebrate the wonderful and diverse businesses across the City of Casey.
This year the Casey Business Awards offer all applicants exclusive access to an exciting range of business development programs including free mentoring and INNovation Crowd invite-only workshops.
Entering the awards provides many wonderful opportunities to be recognised for your business’s outstanding effort and contribution to the City of Casey, to gain publicity and media exposure, to form relationships with other local businesses and business leaders and receive valuable feedback from industry experts. All businesses in the City of Casey are encouraged to participate.
Business Awards Categories
Businesses may submit an application in one of the four categories below. In addition to category winners, judges will also select a Casey Business of the Year 2021.
• Innovation
o The innovation category recognises the creation, development and implementation of a new product, process or service by a business, with the aim of improving efficiency, effectiveness or competitive advantage.
• Resilience
o The resilience category recognises businesses that faced obstacles and challenges, overcame them, learnt from the situation and have gone onto success.
• Employment: Creation, retention, Upskilling
o The employment category recognises businesses who have demonstrated a commitment to employ local and have in place effective employment practices that demonstrates a genuine desire to build staff capabilities and retain its best employees.
• Leadership
o The business leadership category recognises business owners who have provided exemplary leadership within their organisation and/or contributed a positive impact in the community to generate outcomes to deliver long term benefits.

Eligibility Criteria
• The Casey Business Awards 2021 are free to enter.
• Businesses must be located within the City of Casey.
• Applicants must have an Australian Business Number (ABN) and hold relevant licences, permits and approvals to operate the business before 1 March 2020.
• Businesses must have been operating for a minimum of 12 months from the 4th March 2020.
• One application only per business is permitted.
• Businesses may apply in one of the four categories.
