The City of Duncan Enhanced Security Initiative Program is a program created as an incentive for commercial property owners to implement measures that would improve public safety and enhance protection and security of their buildings and surrounding properties.
Funding Information
The ESIP is a matching grant opportunity for property owners to apply for any new safety or security project that they choose with a 50% reimbursement up to a maximum of $1,000 (CAD).
Eligible Improvements
Commercial properties within the City of Duncan jurisdiction may apply for any new safety or security project that you choose. Examples include video surveillance equipment, security systems, enhanced exterior building/parking lot/lane-way lighting, and deadbolts or door lock enhancements.
Eligibility Criteria
• All commercial properties within the City’s jurisdiction are eligible to apply for the one-time ESIP grant.
• All property tax, utilities, and business licence fees must be paid up for the current year.
• Proof of purchase and installation costs must be provided prior to the release of funds.
• All successful ESIP applicants have until October 30th, 2021 to complete all work and claim their 50% reimbursement.
