Business and community members have the opportunity to share in $20,000 to take their great idea to the next level with Lake Macquarie City Council’s inaugural Innovator Support Program.
Council is offering grants from $500 up to $5000 for innovative ideas that will help to address a local community challenge or problem.
The program aims to:
• Provide an opportunity for individuals and/or businesses to take their ideas to the next level
• Foster local innovation
• Provide benefits to the Lake Macquarie community
Categories of Funding Available
• Creation of a prototype or minimum viable product:
o To support the creation or completion of a prototype or minimum viable product that will address a local community challenge/problem.
• Implementation of an innovative project in the Lake Macquarie community:
o To support the implementation of an innovative project/initiative in the Lake Macquarie community that will address a local community challenge/problem.
The program is part of a suite of activities Council is running as part of the 2021 Hunter Innovation Festival.
