Porirua City Council is accepting nominations for its Love Local Small Business Awards to recognise and celebrate small business excellence and resilience through Covid-19 in Porirua.
Nominate a small local business that has demonstrated excellence and resilience over the past year through either business innovation, growth or leadership and they could be the winner of the first Porirua Young Employee and Small Business Award.
Awards' prize
Winner will receive:
• Promotion of business across Chamber and Council platforms
• Chamber of Commerce 12 month membership
• Complimentary hosting of a Porirua Chamber of Commerce 'Business After 5' event
• Applications will be shortlisted and the finalists will go to the judging panel made up of the Porirua Chamber of Commerce Chair, Porirua City Senior Commercial Advisor, and a senior member of the business community.
Eligibility Criteria
• Applications must demonstrate business excellence and resilience over the past year through either business innovation, growth or leadership.
• The business must
o be registered in, and primarily operate from Porirua City
o Have no more than 20 employees
o Not be trading insolvent and legally complies with New Zealand's legal requirements
