Funding Information
Grant amounts are based on the rateable value of properties on 1 April 2021.
Non-essential retail premises
Eligible businesses will receive a grant of:
• £2,667 for each property with a rateable value of exactly £15,000 or under
• £4,000 for each property with a rateable value of over £15,000 and less than £51,000
• £6,000 for each property with a rateable value of exactly £51,000 or over.
Hospitality, accommodation, leisure, personal care and gym business premises
Eligible businesses will receive a grant of:
• £8,000 for each property with a rateable value of exactly £15,000 or under
• £12,000 for each property with a rateable value of over £15,000 and less than £51,000
• £18,000 for each property with a rateable value of exactly £51,000 or over.
Eligibility Criteria
Your business may be eligible for a grant if it:
• is predominantly reliant on delivering in-person services for the general public in the sectors listed above
• occupies a property in Reading on which it is liable for business rates
• was trading on 1 April 2021.
