Funding Information
This grant scheme is a one-off amount and depends on the rateable value of the qualifying premises and the business sector the premises operates under.
Strand 1 – non-essential retail
• Rateable value of premises: £15,000 or under
o Grant amount: £2,667
• Rateable value of premises: £15,001 to £50,999
o Grant amount: £4,000
• Rateable value of premises: £51,000 or above
o Grant amount: £6,000
Strand 2 – hospitality, leisure, accommodation, personal care, gym and sports
• Rateable value of premises: £15,000 or under
o Grant amount: £8,000
• Rateable value of premises: £15,001 to £50,999
o Grant amount: £12,000
• Rateable value of premises: £51,000 or above
o Grant amount: £18,000
Eligibility Criteria
Grants under this scheme will be available to businesses that:
• Are based in the Scarborough borough
• Are rated and assessed for Non-Domestic Rates (business rates) purposes – you will need your business rates account reference to apply
• Where the business operation carried out at the premises is in the relevant sector and falls under the appropriate definition as outlined by BEIS (please refer to BEIS business definition guidance link found further down this page)
This grant cannot be awarded where:
• The business is not rated for Non-Domestic Rates (business rates) purposes
• Where the business operation carried out at the premises does not fall within one of the relevant sectors defined by BEIS for the purposes of this grant
