Applications are now open for the South Cambridgeshire District Council's Restart Grants scheme for business rate paying businesses in the non-essential retail, hospitality, leisure, personal care and accommodation sectors.
Funding Information
• Non-essential retail
o Qualifying non-essential retail businesses with a rateable value of £15,000 or less, will receive a one-off grant of £2,667.
o Qualifying non-essential retail businesses with a rateable value over £15,000 and less than £51,000, will receive a one-off grant of £4,000.
o Qualifying non-essential retail businesses with a rateable value of £51,000 or above, will receive a one-off grant of £6,000.
• Hospitality, accommodation, leisure, personal care and gym business premises
o Qualifying hospitality, accommodation, leisure, personal care and gym business premises with a rateable value of £15,000 or less, will receive a one-off grant of £8,000.
o Qualifying hospitality, accommodation, leisure, personal care and gym business premises with a rateable value over £15,000 and less than £51,000, will receive a one-off grant of £12,000.
o Qualifying hospitality, accommodation, leisure, personal care and gym business premises with a rateable value of £51,000 or above, will receive a one-off grant of £18,000.
Eligibility Criteria
To qualify for a grant, a business must:
• be registered for business rates;
• be trading on 1 April 2021 (carrying on a trade or profession, or buying and selling goods or services in order to generate turnover); and
• not be in liquidation, dissolved, struck off or subject to a striking-off notice.
Businesses that have already received grant payments that equal the maximum permitted subsidy allowances will not be eligible to receive funding.
