The Government announced the introduction of further support for non-essential retail, hospitality, accommodation, leisure, personal care and gym businesses in England.
The level of grant available will depend on the business sector and the rateable value of the premises occupied.
The Restart Grant scheme supports businesses that are predominantly reliant on delivering in-person services for the general public in the aforementioned sectors.
Funding Information
The one-off payable amounts are as follows:
One-off amount for non-essential retail premises (Strand One):
• Rateable value of exactly £15,000 or below: £2,667
• Rateable value over £15,000 and less than £51,000: £4,000
• Rateable value of exactly £51,000 or over: £6,000
One-off amount for hospitality, accommodation, leisure, personal care and gym business premises (Strand Two):
• Rateable value of exactly £15,000 or below: £8,000
• Rateable value over £15,000 and less than £51,000: £12,000
• Rateable value of exactly £51,000 or over: £18,000
Businesses will be ineligible if…
• They have already received grant payments that equal the maximum permitted subsidy allowances
• They are in administration, insolvent or a striking-off notice has been made
