The Development Agency of the Republic of Srpska, in accordance with the Work Program with the financial plan for 2021, is announcing a public invitation to participate in the accelerator program that will be implemented in the area of the city of East Sarajevo.
The program is organized in cooperation with the University of East Sarajevo – OJ Faculty of Economics Pale, the Employment Service of Republika Srpska, the City Development Agency of East Sarajevo, the city of East Sarajevo, and municipalities within the City of East Sarajevo.
The Accelerator program is intended for beginners in business based on innovation, knowledge and new technologies with growth potential who want to find a market for their products / services as soon as possible.
The program provides support to beginners in business in order to realize their business idea, which includes:
• free training during which participants gain the knowledge and skills needed for business success;
• free advisory support to mentors with entrepreneurial experience and knowledge in certain areas;
• cash and non-cash prizes for the most successful business ideas;
• use of free space for work within the business incubator;
• support in finding additional sources of funding;
• connecting with potential partners at home and abroad.
Criteria
Sign up if:
• You are creative and plan to start your own business in the area of the city of East Sarajevo;
• You have an innovative business idea but you do not have enough knowledge and / or financial resources to start your own business;
• You are ready to constantly learn and adopt best practices;
• You have or are building a promising team that is necessary to implement a business idea.
The right to participate in the accelerator program can be exercised by:
• Citizens of the Republika Srpska / BiH or persons with an approved permanent residence in BiH who have an innovative business idea;
• Individuals or teams who do not have a registered business and want to start their own business;
• Registered business entities that have been operating for less than 18 months.
Business ideas related to trade, catering, games of chance, financial intermediation, will not be considered.
Candidates can apply as stand-alone applicants or as a team. The same person cannot be a member of two teams, nor simultaneously submit an idea as an independent applicant and be a member of the team.
Evaluation and Selection of Participants
The participant selection process consists of two phases:
• administrative verification of applications;
• presentation of selected business ideas that enter the acceleration program.
