There are still some places left to participate in the call that the Messina Community Foundation has addressed to aspiring entrepreneurs and companies already established in Basilicata, Calabria, Campania, Puglia, Sardinia or Sicily and with a clear approach to sustainability, in order to support them in creation of environmental and social value for the entire community.
The selected subjects will have access to a free course that includes training on sustainable entrepreneurship issues and personalized coaching, which will accompany them in strengthening entrepreneurial activity and in finding financial resources. In this regard, various financial instruments will be presented, such as microcredit services, equity crowdfunding and some facilitating measures managed by Invitalia, in particular “Resto al Sud” and “Italia Economia Sociale”.
The course will provide all participants with opportunities for meeting and training, opportunities for professional contacts and exchange of experiences, opportunities for fundraising, involvement in an international network of entrepreneurs who promote a culture oriented towards environmental sustainability and social justice. Meetings will also be organized with potential funding bodies, including Invitalia itself.
Object and Purpose
• This call is aimed at the selection of aspiring entrepreneurs and existing companies, with a clear approach to environmental and social sustainability, in order to support them in the strengthening the creation of environmental and social value (by supporting the development of products and services; improving access to finance and markets; etc.).
• Selected subjects will have access to a free course that includes training on entrepreneurship issues sustainable and personalized coaching, which will accompany them in strengthening their business entrepreneurial and in finding the necessary financial resources.
• The path will provide everyone the participants opportunities for meeting and training, opportunities for professional contacts and exchange of experiences, possibility of accessing a microcredit service, involvement in an international network of entrepreneurs promoting a culture oriented towards sustainability environmental and social justice.
Funding Information
Finally, the best entrepreneurial initiatives that will conclude the process will enter a competition that will give them the opportunity to win a grant of € 7,500, which can be used to support the development of their business.
Beneficiaries
They can submit their application:
• aspiring social / environmental entrepreneurs, i.e. natural persons, residing in the Regions Basilicata, Calabria, Campania, Puglia, Sardinia or Sicily which, individually or in group (preferably at least 2 people for each project), propose an idea entrepreneurial capable of generating positive social and environmental impacts for the community;
• companies already established, with registered or operational headquarters in the Basilicata, Calabria Regions, Campania, Puglia, Sardinia or Sicily, which produce products or services capable of generating positive social and environmental impacts and are still at an early stage of their life, that is, they already have customers and revenues, but have not necessarily reached the full economic maturity; or that, while not producing products / services that generate clear social and environmental impacts, want to improve their performance environmental and social.
By way of non-exhaustive example, some potential sectors of interest are:
• the reuse and use of recycled materials, products and by-products or residues deriving from production cycles as an alternative to virgin raw materials, the reduction of the production of waste;
• sustainable systems of production, distribution and efficiency of energy use electric;
• sustainable agricultural and food supply chain;
• safeguarding and usability of the naturalistic and landscape heritage and tourism services sustainable;
• intelligent, ecological and integrated transport.
