The “Under the Same Green Roof” program, supported by USAID, creates concrete avenues for people-to-people cooperation, using the environment as the medium and Green Roofs as the platform through which to promote a culture of peace and mutual respect among Jewish and Arab Israelis and by building the capacities of Jewish and Arab municipalities in the Sharon Regional Cluster to stimulate joint environmental and economic cooperation.
The Hackathon is designed to enable both Jewish and Arab entrepreneurs to develop innovative new eco-tech and circular economy initiatives, with the winning teams earning the opportunity to accelerate their solutions. The selected candidates will have the chance to work with the Leaders of Industry and decision makers of the Municipality and finally to win a paid PoC with the Kfar Saba and Kfar Qasem Municipalities.
A 12-months long PoC and Acceleration program including a period of: – "Deep" acceleration with Sarona Partners (2 months) where the crews will receive professional and business guidance as well as preparation for piloting with KSED. – A 8 months long POC using Kfar Saba and Kfar Kasem GreenRoofs as the beta site – Last months to refine pitch and decks and, when ready, participate to an international investors sprint!

The Hackathon is open to every startup at any stage or growth stage looking to do a PoC with the greenest municipalities in Israel, or looking to develop a new vertical.
