Have you founded a nature-based enterprise, or are you at an early-stage of your development with a good idea and need support to take you to the next level? If yes, then apply for the Nature-Based Accelerator Programme!
The Nature-Based Accelerator, ‘Developed by Good Ideas and Glasgow City Council’s H2020 Connecting Nature project, is a pilot programme to support early-stage impactful nature-based business and social enterprise that could make a positive environmental, social, and economic change in Glasgow.
The programme aims to encourage more local and resilient nature-based economies, create more green jobs, and help to achieve the net-zero targets. One of the main focusses of the pilot is on how they can use innovative enterprise ideas to help improve and maintain Glasgow’s open spaces.
What’s involved
• 3 month fully funded programme.
• A facilitated process using design thinking methodology.
• 10 interactive workshops (online and in person).
• Working closely with other Nature-based enterprises.
• A final launch event connecting with key stakeholders.
• Expert input and outgoing support.
Is this for you?
• You are an innovator or entrepreneur.
• You have an idea that could result in positive social, environmental, and economic outcomes.
• Your idea incorporates a use of nature either directly or indirectly whilst supporting climate change, health & wellbeing and biodiversity loss policies.
• You have a good understanding of what you want to do and the impact your idea could have.
• You have started to explore who your potential customers and beneficiaries might be.
• Your idea will have an impact in Glasgow and could help to achieve the objectives of the open space strategy.
• You understand how your idea could be financially viable.
By the end of the programme you will:
• Have a clearly defined value proposition (and USP).
• Understand who your potential customers are.
• Established a strong peer network of support with others working in a similar field.
• Understand your business model and how your enterprise can be financially viable.
• Learnt from entrepreneurs and experts within the field.
• Identified the social, environmental, and economic benefits your enterprise can have.
• Have access to business support throughout the programme.
• Connected into the wider ecosystem.
• Launched to a network of key stakeholders.
