AYO Foundation: Supporting Social Startups in the Seed Phase (Spain)

It is a program of the AYO Foundation in alliance with the investment firm NK5 that offers support to social startups in the seed phase, from any activity sector, that contribute to the improvement of the employability of young people at risk of social exclusion:
• Indirectly through education/training
• Directly including these groups in its value chain (as workers, suppliers, clients).

• Indirectly through education/training
• Directly including these groups in its value chain (as workers, suppliers, clients).

What Includes
• The program offers personalized, expert and close accompaniment to social entrepreneurs to advance their social project until the next level.
• AYO EMPRENDE includes professional mentoring for 12 months, training, co-working, networking, high level of commitment from program collaborators, measurement of social impact, and access to soft financing up to € 50,000.

Who is the program for?
To social entrepreneurs
• That they are starting a business model or developing products or services, in any sector of activity, that offers innovative, effective and efficient solutions to generate development, training and employability opportunities for young people at risk of social exclusion
o through education / training or,
o incorporating workers from this group in its value chain.
• With personal commitment to the project, with a minimum% of own investment.
• With the will to learn, establish alliances that allow the business to grow and belong to the network of professionals and Fundación AYO social entrepreneurs.
• With need and interest in obtaining support in management and escalation aspects, including preparing the Pitch for investors.

Characteristics of the projects
• High social impact in Spain and the possibility of being measurable.
• Seed Phase (legally constituted, with a business model validated and with billing).
• Innovative approach.
• Existence of initial metrics.
• Profitable or self-sustaining business.
• Willingness and potential for scalability, to consolidate the model or to prepare the next round of financing and growth with others investors.

Requirements to Participate
If you have a business:
• That contributes to the improvement of employability of youth at risk of social exclusion
• With high social impact in Spain
• In Seed Phase (legally constituted, business model validated and with billing)
• With an innovative approach
• With existence of initial metrics
• Profitable or self-sustaining
• Willingness and potential for scalability
