Are you ICT and ICT related startup or SME offering Innovative Business Solutions (ISB)? Apply for ICT and ICT related startup and SMEs scale up 2021 call which aims to avail working space, training, mentorship, and access to credit for the selected.
The Innovation for Development Program, in collaboration with the Ministry of Innovation and Technology, the Job Creation Commission, the United Nations Development Program and the Korea International Cooperation Agency, invites bidders for the support and development of Innovation Business Strategies and Micro and Small Enterprises.
There is a clear necessity to enlarge the entrepreneurial community in Ethiopia and support the development of competitive and innovative ICT and ICT related SMEs and start-ups. The lack of market driven innovation, low competitiveness of products or services and company’s poor productivity thus serve as significant hinders for bottom-up innovation in the country. Access to finance is also another challenge for innovation is reiterated by all stakeholders as a major impediment for the growth of innovative SMEs and start-ups, and for their capacity to adapt innovative technologies.
The challenges in this respect is not necessarily the availability of funds, but rather the ability of SMEs and start-ups to access financing that would enable innovation.
Criteria
Applicants must have to fulfil the following criteria to apply
• The applicant should hold an Ethiopian Citizenship
• The Innovative idea must be ICT and ICT related business
• Start up or SMEs that have an Innovative Business Solution in the ICT and ICT related solutions.
• The proposal must be submitted on the available format on the website
