X-Europe is a 6-month remote acceleration programme that connects startups and other deeptech actors across Europe through events, media, training, and matchmaking.
Within 2 years X-Europe will cover six deeptech trends. Each cohort addresses a single trend. Calls to apply to be part of a cohort will be released to startups in each relevant deeptech domain. The 25 most competitive startup applicants in each cohort will be given free support from all the X-Europe partners and Startup Europe.
They are calling for all startups, corporations, investors, and ecosystem builders in the Baltics, the Visegrad region, and Western Europe to help us create a connected and developed Europe.
X-Europe's overarching goals
• FACILITATE GROWTH
o Activities are designed to facilitate growth of startups and SMEs in six deeptech topics: HealthTech, AgriTech, AI/ML, Smart Cities & Sustainability, SpaceTech, and FinTech.
• SUPPORT COLLABORATION
o Activate and engage the network of investors, corporations, governmental and private organizations.
• PROMOTE & CULTIVATE
o Use world-class media, flagship conferences, and cutting-edge training to grow deeptech companies and their recognition.
They aim to boost your business by
• Matchmaking with investors & corporations
o Through investor matchmaking X-Europe engages investors and public funds in portfolio companies, with a particular focus on supporting cross-border investment opportunities.
o Investors will be not only informed about the participating startups, but they will be invited to X-Europe events, so companies will be directly and personally connected to funding opportunities.
• Free in-person & online training
o A series of in-person and online trainings will be delivered, focusing mainly on growth marketing processes that enable startups to carry out self-reliant, fast, data-driven work. Training participants will have the opportunity to learn from hands-on exercises and examples guided by professional trainers, ensuring tailor-made approach.
• Access to incubator & accelerator services
o The programme provides a five-day-long sprint for three selected startups at Design Terminal’s Acceleration Programme in Budapest.
o Through the incubation services, startups will have access to physical workspaces and community. Three selected companies in each cohort will get a 3-month membership at TNW community spaces in Amsterdam and TechChill’s incubation space in Riga.
• Flagship tech events presence and tickets
o The showcase of each cohort is at one of three annual tech events – TNW, Design Terminal, or TechChill – where the whole cohort gets together for 2-3 days packed with events, training, social activities, and matchmaking that will generate sustainable business partnerships
• Helping you gain exposure
o Via programme communication, partners’ channels, local, regional and international media coverage, X-Europe will provide valuable publicity to startups, creating high exposure. Thanks to diverse and widely visited channels, content about the programme and startup success stories can reach various relevant stakeholders.
• Giving you an opportunity to create sustainable business partnerships
o Selected corporations will define a unique innovation challenge while startups will be invited to offer tailored solutions to these challenges. Companies will have the opportunity to publicly pitch their solutions, and after the pitches roundtable sessions will be organised for startups and corporations to discuss potential future collaboration.
