The London Borough of Havering is accpeting applications for its Special Sector Open Business Grant.
This grant is specifically for applications for independent car repair businesses, independent hotels and bed and breakfast establishments, and independent travel agents with business premises.
Applicants must fall into one of the following categories.
• Independent car repair business
• Independent hotels and bed and breakfast establishments (Expenses which only relate to domestic outgoings will not be considered for this grant and short term exclusive rental of private properties will not be eligible. If the property has a public bar then it would not be eligible for this grant.)
• Independent travel agent
Funding Information
A grant of up to £7000 is available to eligible businesses.
Please note that these are maximum levels of grant, and the Council will award funding proportionate to ongoing unavoidable costs.
Eligibility Criteria
In order to be eligible, businesses must:
• have been trading on 17 October 2020
• own or rent business premises used to carry out their business trade
• demonstrate a significant drop in income, alongside ongoing unavoidable costs such as rent, mortgage on a commercial property, insurance, accounting or web hosting liabilities.
