Applications are invited for the Indigenous Tourism Fund that provides Indigenous-owned businesses and Indigenous organisations with funding to help them start up, grow or stabilise their business within the tourism sector.
This program aims to increase the number of Indigenous tourism products available in the domestic and international market, particularly in regional and remote Australia.
Funding Information
- Up to $50,000 for Indigenous-owned tourism businesses.
Use of Funding
Funding may be used to:
- build supply and boost product development (e.g. through the acquisition of small plant and equipment,
- product development, strategic planning, IT equipment or production of marketing material)
- support the marketing and distribution of Indigenous tourism products to ensure sustained demand
- meet the changing needs of Indigenous tourism businesses as they move through the COVID-19 recovery and as travel restrictions are progressively lifted
Eligibility Criteria
To be eligible, you must:
- have an Australian business number (ABN)
- be registered for the purposes of goods and services tax (GST)
- have an account with an Australian financial institution
- be a business with 50% or more Indigenous ownership and operating or planning to operate in the tourism sector
