Are you a woman creative aged between 25 – 40years and have been running your creative business for at least 3years and need a bit of extra assistance running your business? Then the ResiliArt Accelerator is for you.

The ResiliArt Accelerator project innovatively responds to the existing knowledge and capacity gaps in entrepreneurial skills and the formalization of creative businesses expressed by thousands of stakeholders during the debates organized in the context of the UNESCO ResiliArt movement.

The project’s focus on women creative professionals addresses the persisting challenges that women face in the creative industries, further worsened by the COVID 19 pandemic. Therefore, five women from Zimbabwe leading an existing creative business with a limited or informal capacity will:

  • Receive customized online mentorship from international women creative professionals from Africa and regular face-to-face sessions from a team of local coaches;

Calling innovators and researchers from Lebanon and the Mediterranean to apply to Berytech’s regional Entrepreneurship Summer School in the Water Food Energy NEXUS Sector under the NEX-LABS project and develop novel startups.

The summer school will provide new business perspectives to NEXUS innovators, create potential collaboration across borders in the Mediterranean and help the entrepreneurs develop their entrepreneurial mindset and relevant skills to successfully launch and grow their business.

Lisburn & Castlereagh City Council announces Rural Business Development Grant Scheme (UK)

Lisburn & Castlereagh City Council (LCCC) is delighted to announce that the Rural Business Development Grant Scheme is now open for applications from rural micro-businesses.

The grant scheme, which offers these businesses up to £4,999 of capital funding, is part of the Tackling Rural Poverty and Social Isolation (TRPSI) Programme, funded by the Department for Agriculture, Environment and Rural Affairs (DAERA).

Eligible applications must be from existing micro-businesses with less than 10 full time employees. The total capital costs of the projects must be between £1,000 and £20,000. The capital grants are capped at £4,999 at a match-funding rate of 50% from DAERA and 50% from participating businesses. Mainstream agricultural activity is ineligible for support under the scheme. Mid and East Antrim Borough Council launches Rural Business Development Grant Scheme 2022 (UK)

Mid and East Antrim Borough Council has launched Rural Business Development Grants to support the recovery, sustainability and development of existing micro businesses based in rural areas who have not previously received funding under the TRPSI Rural Business Development Scheme 2021, which was administered by local Councils.

Funding Information

The minimum spend on one, or a combination of, eligible items is £1,000 and your project must not cost more than £20,000.

Eligible Expenses

Examples of eligible expenditure includes:

  • Computer equipment, eg computer, laptop, printer.
  • Computer software (outright purchase; ongoing license fees are not eligible).
  • E-commerce Websites to allow online purchase capabilities.
  • New equipment/ machinery.
  • Mobile machinery, such as scissor lifts, forklifts, ride-on lawn mowers.

The City of West Linn is offering a fourth round of unrestricted Small Business Grants to assist West Linn businesses and non-profits adversely affected by economic conditions associated with the Covid-19 pandemic and ongoing business recovery.

Funding Information

For this round, the City will distribute awards in the amounts equaling $2,500 (brick and mortar) and $1,000 (home-based businesses).

Grant awards are expected to be distributed as follows:
